C.D. Grant , a retired police sergeant and former police Olympic Judo champion, served two tours in Korea during the war then lived there to study martial arts. He holds master ranks in Judo and Jujitsu and has studied Karate and Aikido. Upon returning to the USA in 1955, he established the first martial arts school in his state and is known as one of the eleven founders of Judo. He served in all divisions of the police department and taught police defensive tactics. A coach for over 55 years, at age 76 he teaches seminars and now for the first time reveals the long kept secret of PENUMBRA.
Assisting C.D. Grant in PENUMBRA and Street-Safety seminars is fitness model Charis Nawrocki. A 3-time National competitive athlete (Dancer, Powerlifter, Figure Competitor), she is also a ranked athlete in Jujitsu. Charis works as a Wellness Consultant with her own business My 2 Sense, LLC and volunteers her time with 2 prominent Non-Profit Organizations.
